We CROSS COUNTRY Pole vaulting, running the 220, 440, broad jumping, high jumping, and hurtling are a few of the events that make up track. By starting the track season in February the tracksters can get an early start for the spring events. Their coach Ron Singleton for the sophomores and Ron Sanford for the freshmen hope to have their teams ready to break last years records and make records to be broken the following year. The boys work out regularly after school for die coming events when competition starts. RIGHT: Sammy Carrasco runs in the cross country taking dlstances from one to two miles. BOTTOM: Running relays, dashes, and the cross country take time, effort, and energy.
