This was a Christmas without snow but the spirit of Christmas was everywhere. lt is the one thing that most everyone almost anywhere believes in in one way or another. The joy and merriment of buying and the giving make it rewarding knowing that it is better to give than to rece ive. CHRISTMAS A CTIVITIES The Crusaders gave their annual Christmas concert filling the faculty and student body with the Christmas spirit. Christmas spirit-the 'thing' that has filled the hearts of many, rolled its way into the hearts of everyone at Mid High. Not a 'Scrooge' was to be seen for the angel of the Lord had brought good tidings, Decorating homeroom doors was a favorite that let everyone use their imagination and artistic abilities to produce some of the sparkling and modernistic themes of Christ- 11135. The Crusaders and the Treble Choir went around to the different schoolsg to Loving, Otis, and Malaga to bring glad tidings of joy. Singing through the halls turned all Classes from study to the doorways to hear the carols sung as the choirs walked through the halls. Around the Christmas tree everyone joined as the carols poured through the building. The Spirit of Christ- mas was a marvel at Mid High. MID HIGH EXTENSION A silloutte shot shows the beauty of the new gyna con- struction underway which will be finished at the end of the summer, The continuing of Mid High was begun in the summer when the bringing of supplies and the laying of foundations were laid. The noise of machinery rang throughout the building as the tractors, jack-harm mers, and loaders began their work with heavy loads. The students had many inconven- iences but took it all right since they will get to use the buildings next year except the sophomores and they didn't mind since they will be going on the hill next year.
