CA DE T CORPS Mid High has an active Army ROTC program, with the students participating in many school events. ln addition to learning military procedures and tactics, they present the colors at school assemblies and sports events. Every day the flag outside the school is raised and lowered by representatives of the ROTC. The high point of the year for the cadets is the bivouac in the Guadalupe Mountains near the end of the year, which includes military tactics. ENERAL BUSINESS The techniques of speed typing and business procedures are studied in Mid High's general business classes. The students in typing work toward a speedy and accurate typing record. Periodic tests keep the typists Working until their maximum speeds are obtained. SPECIAL ED CA TION Special Education students work towards the day when they can put their training to use in a job. Practical skills and education are taught so that the students may enter society. Such things as arts and crafts and industrial arts are used by the teachers to teach the students the necessary skills.
