Don Johnson Mr. Don Johnson has been in the teaching profession for 36 years and at C.H.S, for 25 of these years, He is marriedt wife Martha. and has two children. Mr. Johnson attended college at l:ast Illinois University and the University of illinois, He enjoys playing golf. watching high school football games and traveling -listing his favorite places to visit as Washington. D.C, and Boston. Mass. While at C.H.S. he has served in a variety of coaching positions - football. baseball. track and golf, freshman class advisor in the l96Us and as a senior class advisor for thc past 4 years. Mr. Johnson stated his fondest memories at Carlsbad as being a coach during the l96O's when C,H.S. won C.l.F. football and league championships and track league championships, He also has many memories of thousands of students he has had the pleasure of teaching, coaching and knowing. His favorite sayings are Every blind squirrel gets an acorn now and then and 'Make It Hurt. His Lancer pride once was shown by his purple and white buick with LANCER license plates and is new shown by his purple socks and tie - he also still has his LANCER plates. He w born In Maryland 'but went to college at Occidental and S Diego State University in California. maioring in English a psychology. He enjoys gardening. reading. fols dancing a antiquing. Mr. Wood has served in a variety of extra ci ricular positions while at C.H.S.. such as advisor of t Junior Class and Croquet Club and this year as a facu member of the Lancer Day Committee. He enjoys traveli and his favorite spots to visit are Oregon and England. Mr. Woods fondest memories at CJ-LS. are the yer: worlucd with the classes of l96l and l963.
