Apparently a few of them had never been to a dance before. At the first CGA assembly, a beautiful hot day in the glen, no one knew what was happening, but who cared? The girls were getting out of sixth period. To prepare for the future, seniors and juniors and their parents attended college day at Woodside High School where representatives from several col- leges were present to answer questions. GIRLS RIDE ON TO THE FIELD The Carlmont-Sequoia game was well attended by people who came to see the crowning of the sports queen as well as the action on the field. The five finalists rode out onto the field, each trying not to fall out of the car, wave, and look nonchalant at the same time. The A.V. crew must have been overcome by the excitement of the occasion because the microphone didn ' t work. Even without the microphone, however, everyone present knew that Sandy Hildebrand was chosen queen. After she was crowned, Sandy and the other four girls were escorted off the field, the game was resumed, and the A.V. crew quietly crept out of the stadium. The five finalists pictured below are (1-r) Judy Manning, Bobbi Petitclerc, Marilyn Moar, Sandy Hildebrand, and Brooksie Howe.
