There is an old saying that A job well begun is already half done . In the three years that Carlmont High School has been in existence, an enviable beginning has been made by the students and faculty in building the reputation of Carlmont as an outstanding high school . Those who become Carlmont Highlanders in years to come will have had high standards set for them to live up to by you who have the honor of being Carlmont ' s first graduating class. The story of Carlmont is being written every day by the actions of every student and teacher in the school. While the story is just beginning, it gives every promise of being a brilliant story of great accom- plishments. The Class of 1955 always be remembered for the part it has played in shaping the character of Carlmont. To the Class of 1955, those of us who remain behind say, thank you and extend our best wishes for your future success and accom- plishment. As these seniors take their rightful places in com- munities throughout the world, Carlmont will begin to help shape things that are to come. As you look through these pages in years to come, you will realize how fitting is the name Vistas for Carlmont ' s annual. You will also realize in looking back over the seasons the joys that were yours when you were in our midst. To you, our first graduating class, we, in a sense, dedicate this yearbook, knowing full well that you can be trusted with this dedication be - cause of the marvelous work you have done for Carlmont. You have shared in the growth and tradition that is Carlmont, and we shall remember you for the outstanding contributions you have made to our school.
