These si teen men represent the Best of the best, and are chosen to perform at Sunday Dress Parades, and to represent the school at loc Christmas parades, and numerous competitive events throughout the state and nation. For obvious reasons, the Drill Team is the wi ningest and most spirited team at Carlisle. Last year, the Drill Team took first place honors at the State Championship events in Orangeburg. A week later, they attended tl Junior ROTC Drill Team Competition at Fort Myer, in Washington, D. C., and, competing against fourteen nationally-known dr teams, placed fifth. In addition to their annual Christmas parade performances, the Drill Team also performs in the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade ea year, in Savannah, Georgia. Under the superb instruction and supervision of CSM John Murray, and the command of Captain Fred White, the Drill Team h had a sensational season (as always), and eagerly anticipates returning to all the places it performed last year. In addition to its reg lar itinerary. The Drill Tea-m plans to attend the Second Army Junior ROTC Drill Team Championships at Fort Benning, In August Georgia.
