DEDICATION IWird. peddle W). J ennedty A milestone will be reached at the end of this year by the retire- ment of Mrs. Jessie W. Kennedy, who lias served faithfully for the past twenty-three years as Matron. The announcement of Grandma’s retirement has saddened all of her boys, but it is one richly deserved. During her long years of serv- ice, she has been responsible for the complete operation of the kitchen and messhall and the preparation of three meals a day for the entire Corps. In spite of her important and time consuming duties, she has always had time to use her engaging and warm personality, her sympa- thetic understanding, and her genuine interest in Carlisle, to endear herself to Carlisle men—having earned her the affectionate name, Grandma, many years ago. Our thanks to you, Grandma, for what you have come to mean to Carlisle. We will miss you, hut wish for you the best in a long and happy life.
