Two years ago, Mr. John S. Cartwright became superintendent of the Carlisle schools. Patient and understanding, he eased thestrain that a period of adiustment necessarily brings. Now with every depart- ment of our high school pulling together for the common good, there is, thanks to our superintendent, a happy combination of skilled direction and willing cooperation. To Mr. Cartwright belongs a rare administrative ability which his years of experience has developed richly. This ability is going far to make our Carlisle schools the best. We have great admiration for Mr. Cartwright's fine judgment and his keen interest in all of our school activities. His faithful service and his concern for our welfare have won the deepest respect of the Class of I948. 1 MR. JOHN THE DMI ISIR TIO S.
