TOP-Lelia Weaver. GO GET'UM CHIEFS-was the yell of this year's cheerleaders that could be heard responding through the gym at each game the mighty CHIEFS played. After long practices and the cooperations of each girl, they were able to cheer the team on to many exciting victories. The season was one filled with thrills and chills but also much hard work. THIRD ROW-Curtis Tatum, Andy Koplen, Billy Richmond, Andy Harder, Stuart Walden, Sammy Blankenship, Joel Jason, Kevin Moats, Mr. Wonson-Assistant Coach. The Carlisle Football Team this year started its first season with 32 students and two managers. Those who would represent Carlisle in its first year of football did a fine job and we feel their 3-3 record speaks for itself. Many sacrifices were made by the players who worked every day and on the weekends to improve their skills. WE played many teams with far more experience than we had. The coaching staff, Mr. Webster and Mr. Wonson, feel that we can look forward to another fine season. With one year under our belts we hope to improve and continue to represent Carlisle in a winning manner. As the coaches agree we don't promise you a rose garden . 16
