NOT PICTUREDYCourtney Dodge, Tracy Moats. Q mu W ZW XWM. K This year has been another Carlisle first for Carlisle Spanish students. Those interested in taking part in extra-curricular activities involving Spanish have been given the opportunity to join the Spanish Club. During the first meetings of 27 members, class officers were elected under the supervision of Miss Crafton, the Spanish teacher and head of the club. Class Officers are: President, Peter Pearl, Vice-President, Nancy Toms, Secretary, Kevin Moats, Treasurer, Curtis Tatum. A Spanish dinner was held at the home of Miss Crafton. There were a variety of foods including a chicken and rice casserole , called arroz con pollo, salad, Spanish bread, and various desserts. There was a Spanish beverage called Spangrea, which consist of red wine and fermented fruit. Guest of the dinner were Mrs. Lohman, Miss Wylie. Other dinners are planned to be held at the homes of club members. A group of Spanish students have been helping at the Marc workshop as a service project. Our club plans to take part in other service projects. Other activities planned for our club are money raising projects and programs presented by club members dealing with Spanish. This year Upper School girls faithfully attended each chorus practice.Ofcourse the girls look forward to singing but they look forward to Mr. Wonson even More! dS I S S

M .-I LI-I LI-4 The Form IV Girls French Club is busy this X year carrying on projects that are widening their field of French knowledge. Their activities include field trips, French singing, and French dinners, which are prepared by les cui- sinieres formidable les du CIRCLE FRANCAIS . The club is also very pleased to have Mike Eth- ridge as their advisor, re- placing Lenore Lohmann. FRENCH CLUB III: SEATED-Sabra Wilson. STANDING LEFT TO RIGHT-Susan Bestler, Ginger Gilliam, Lelia Weaver, MarthaWhite, Liz Tavss, Lou Montgomery, Bailey Farley-Vice- President. The French Club I has been very busy lately under the gui- dance of Mr. Ethridge. Officers were elected at the beginning of the year and they are as follows: Pres. Kate Wallace, Vice-Pres. Greg Morten, and Sec. Michele Hooker. It was decided that the club would be called Le Coin de Pierre fPierre,s conerj. Everyone has been busily planning the first French dinner and several people have com- pleted special projects. A bul- letinboard of French ways of life and cleverly written poems have been presented to the club. The French Club I is really looking forward to a most exciting year in 1972!
