LASS PROPHECCY It was in 1980 that a feeling of nostalgia came over me to see my former classmates of 1959: so I decided to call each one on my Television Telephone and SEE what they were doing. Johnny Allen is waiting to draw his retirement pay from Cooties. Ray Armstrong is revolving around the sun in a Sputnik sending important scientific data to Kenneth Screeton Kenneth Bennett is taking Cactus Vick's place on TV. He also has a mink ranch in Montana. Jacqueline Smith Bettis ls well-known ln the South as an authority on Homemaklng. Jane Booe is weighing bananas in her store and still writing to State Teachers. Betty Bolls is singing the blues in Camegie Hall. Miriam Buffalo is teaching higher mathematics in a northem university. Robert Buffalo entered the Carlisle Drag Races with his tractor and set a new speed record. Elva Calven is a nurse at St. Vincent 's after being the world's lightweight wrestling champ. Ricky Childress has enlarged Miller's Dairy Bar, Faylene Cochran is a hostess in the Stork Club in New York City. W. I-l. Cochran ls a deep sea diver off the coast of Bennuda. Eugene Cook now sells bottled mineral water for health. Tommy Cook couldn't be located, but was last seen in South Africa. Anita DuBose is residing in Carlisle, Arkansas. Calvin Elmore is nmning a Wrecker Service near Carlisle, especially for Chevrolets, Faye Bggbtm is now married to a rice farmer. Carol Anne Gillespie is supporting 14 kids and a U. of A. graduate. Kaye Griffin is nrnnlng Jackie's place. Nancy Griffin is painting stripes down the middle of the highway with arrows to her house. Mike Havlik is now a big wheel in the Civil Air Patrol in Washington, D. C. Jerry Droopy Isbell is now a grease monkey in Detroit at his brother's garage, but is called 'Peppy. Carolee Johnson runs a Beauty and Charm School at Hickory Plains. Donald Kilgore is selling cars and nmnlng a dog pound. H. D. King is drilling for oil in Siberia. Carolyn Magee is a movie star on set in Hong Kong. Charlene Matlock sells hats in Little lbck. Tommy McCallie wrote the best-seller in literature on 'The Art of Going Steady. Jerald McClain is still on the Judging Team, judging legs - cows. Gerald Measels owns a chain of service stations. Jimmy Miller is telling funny jokes on television and is quite a comedlenne. Teresa Miller just won the National Championship for the Talkathon and ls still talking. William Mitchell has gone up in the world, he is now six feet tall. Virginia Morgan is now playing center on Hazel Walker's Basketball Team. Patsy Nation trims Poodle Dogs in New York City. Travis Northcutt finally got a car to outrun Billy Marcotte. Steve Palsa took Rocky Rockwell's place on the Lawrence Welk Show. Larry Perceful has a special car service - transporting girls only. Nell Pfeiifer wears a bespangled costume and is a famous toe dancer on Broadway, David Riner is world famous for being so well-known. Russell Screeton is receiving messages from Ray Armstrong and writing a book on the advantages and dis- advantages of revolving around the sun - really supposed to be a hot book. Barbara Ann Seamans designs clothes for Carolyn Magee, the movie star, Harriet Shoup is now writing a column for the New York Times, As Seen From My Window. Doris Smart is writing lines for George Gobel and Red Skelton. Loretta Snider is a racing mechanic. Frankie Torian is selling popcom on Coney Island. Clarence Underwood has taken over Emily Post's position on etiquette and love problems. Cinderella Vent found her other glass slipper and now drinks champagne from it, Billy White has a big gym at Screeton Switch - the Basketball center of the world. Larry White is a reporter for the Chicago Tribune. Anne Williams has a rare collection of all the books about Charlie Brown, and the record, too. Ted Wilson now portrays Yancy Derringer's place on TV. John Zimmerman sure needs his sidebums and long hair that he willed some 20 years ago to Mr. Mc- Donald, so people won't get him confused with Yul Brynner.
