561410 6111 5 M tary On September A l94O Alec opened the doors of the Luttle Red School House wude to admit among other students Gaines Young Margaret Sums Patsy Smart Mason Ruttman James Whute Robert Swears Dale Bennett David Bennett Jeanne Mason Barbara Baker and Mona S Cochran who spent all twelve of their school years here Carolyn Goad Shurley Lawson and Bobby Euland started here left and then returned to funush These brave luttle troopers with Muss Warbrutton as their furst grade teacher and theur rhythm band to make their own musuc made a good beginning ln the second grade Ollue Ann Chambers hearing of our fune tumes at Carlusle Publuc School decuded to uoun us Shurley Lawson returned after attendung another school for a few months Wuth Muss Bullue Ruth Johnson as our teacher we enloyed a quiet year The thurd grade with Mrs J D Martun as our teacher and Betty Shurkey as a new pupil was quite unterestung Durung the fourth grade Muss Hazel Barr our teacher trued to teach us among other thungs to folk dance Thus was rather difficult so Novella Percefull uouned us to help us out Carolyn Goad left us to enter another school We all looked forward to the fufth grade We had a new lunchroom and Muss Margue Benton for our teacher The new faces were udentufued as those of Margie Rucks and Elaune Elmore The room across the hall with Mrs J C Rouse for our teacher served as our A K Golleher uouned us to full up the empty places Volleyball games and our second operetta are among our fond memories for that year We were promoted upstairs to the seventh grade We missed our recesses but P E was almost as much fun Thus year we were uouned by Rudolph Petrus and Ruta Allen Carolyn Goad returned but Ruta left at the end of the year Our new Freshmen were Shurley Kellar and Bobby Ann Jones Ruta Allen came back durung thus year also We Sophomores were uouned by Margie Ricks and by thus tume we were well on oar way to the top Bobby Euland left us for one year but he came back un our Junuor year to funush with us Our Junuor year was quite an event Wuth Dale Bennett to serve as Presudent and a new school buuldung to enuoy we got rught down to business Bobby Lackue and Donald Park uouned us Robert Shannon liked us so much that he skupped a grade to be with us Wuth the comedy Papa Makes Good for our Junuor play we nearly brought the new school house down After thus we settled down to a peaceful mood and went Hawauuan for our Junuor Senuor Banquet On September 3 l95l we began the funal year Wuth Odell Pfeiffer as class Presudent and our rungs on our fingers we need no remunders that we are now Senuors Durung the Chrustmas holudays three of our classmates Barbara Baker Margie Rucks and Betty Flo Young were marrued Margie and Barbara decuded to go on and funush with us Thus makes us twenty nune strong all workung hard and lookung forward to our play a grand Senuor trup and graduatuon un May Written by Patsy Smart Q f 1 1 1 A 1 sixth grade station.
