Foreword I do not read the book; I merely turn a page and find a memory there. How small a thing this book - a material thing - could shelter the image of the past. I retouch in memory upon the impressions these pages have left upon my life and with sentiment reflect upon each golden moment. Annual Staff Message For most people, when this annual is opened it is abe- gining, but for the 1972 annual staff it is the end. This book has been built around images, reflections, and im- pressions of the year 1972 at Carlisle County High School. If it is the first or hundreth time to turn the page, the meaning is still there. The meaning is there because every- one is a part of it. 1972 Annual Staff

Images Time passes and the human mind forgets. Things one thought could never be for- gotten are dim and hazy like smoke. Small reminders, however, can bring it all back . . . primping on pic- ture day . . . laughing with and at friends no matter what shape they’re in . . . carry- ing more than one's share of the load . . . trying to make it to the Olympic Pyramid Building Team.
