On the board you see a tree consisting of a trunk that is a Latin word and leaves which are the English derivatives of that word. Mrs. Mitchell's world history classes study national and international problems of yesteryear in order to better understand the problems faced today. A part of high school English is listening to lectures on specific periods of literature, etc. Here Mr. Webb is elaborating on English Litera- ture. In Mrs. Mathis's French class, the tape recorder provides intensive study in hearing the spoken language. The class shown here are mak- ing use of the individual head phones.

 4 zde tUc Su jecte (tyzMettye In Mrs. Mabry's chemistry classes students become familiar with many chemical substances. Here students are studying the characteristics of the sodium atom. Small in quantity but great in quality, this trigonometry class looks on while Mr. Clark points out the trigonometric functions of any angle. An important part of Mrs. Mathis and Mrs. Mabry's biology courses is the classification of plants and animals. Countless aids are needed such as this chart used in the study of ornithology. Algebra is a vital part of our curriculum. It helps one to think clearly. Here Mr. Mathis looks on while a student explains the quadratic equation.

Mrs. Hogancamp's students, who are quite familiar with a, s, d, f, etc. are working diligently to finish the day's lesson. In Mrs. Hawkins office practice class, the students conduct themselves, as if they were truly working in an office. The purpose of Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Mix's home economics classes is to prepare the girls for the duties to be theirs as housewives and mothers.
