Who can forget the enthusiasm s at the county tournament, the anxiety around semester, or the excitement of the Prom? This year we've tried to capture through words, pictures, and art work the atmosphere of life at C.C.H.S. so that each of you will have a permanent record of that wonderful year - 'l960, and we hope the Carlin Hi reflects the year I as you wish to remember it. Ever hear of a girl making the high school football team? Well, it happened in the lunior play, Clementine, The story is of sixteen-year-old Clementine Kelly CSusan Whitlowl who is a terrible tomboy. The plot revolves around her conversion into a lady with the help of her parents Wirginia Williams and Gor- don Costleyl, friends lludy Van Pelt and Nan Burgerl, and a boy Clerry f-lamptonl. Her main interest when the play opens is the school football team. When one of her best friends, the captain of the team, deserts her in her efforts to join the team, she decides to get even in an entirely different manner. lt takes quite a while to convince Clem that the only way to Win is to let the boy think he has won, but when she catches on, she decides it is a pretty fair way of doing things, Jerry Fate no SL lr NN'-f .i 14 CAMERA, ACTION ! Maudie's problems occurred suddenly when Davy Qlohn Sweetl, her current steady, took an interest in Sylvia Uoan Manningl, Maudie's older sister, and all her methods of win- ning him back tailed.
