Class Prophecy As Mistress of the Future I look into my crystal ball and see the Senior Class of '48 going about their daily vocation Now as I gaze into the future, first of all I see, Betty Ruth Chandler following in her mother's footsteps by having one of the best cafes in the southwest. Aunt Betty's Cafe. Ahl I see a new image. It's none other than Albert Goedecke, he is behind the counter of a Sporting Goods shop of which he is the owner. He is ready to accept any customer's invitations for a fishing or hunting trip which is his hobby. The image is now fading and I see a new oneg it is becoming clearer, and I see rolling green plains with herds of registered cattle. As I look closerl see a beautiful ranch house and on the front gate is the sign Ranch H Bar H. The owner is Hendrix Harper who is well known for his fine cat- tle and knowledge of animal husbandry, which he obtained at A Sz M. I now see a rolling ocean, and a large ship is maneuvering in an Atom bomb experiment. The admiral of the ship is David Goedecke who is fam- ous for this type of work. . . There is a great movement i.n my ball. I see a tall stately woman sur- rounded by beautiful children. The woman is giving a lecture -on making a dress. She is Miss Mary Jim Harper, Home Demonstration Agent of Har- ris County. A large business building is moving into sight. Catherine Hillegeist is hard at work typing letters. In the next room is Carmen Lemm taking dictation from her boss, the President of the Company. What a modern community store! It is a known fact that the owner is Willard Mallott and is well known for his interest in Community improve- ments for his friends. I hear the playing of a piano. At the piano isa small child and her in- structor is Anita Norris. Anita has perfected a new method for making the hours of practice more fim and much easier. I see rows and rows of books. Behind the library desk sits Dorothy Wade who is known for her wise choice in selecting books.

As I continue gazing I see a very modern house that was planned and built by the former Georgie Spears' husband Raymond Jurischk. Georgie is reading her favorite magazine and playing at her feet is her future base- ball team of boys entertaining themselves with building blocks. A wedding march is being played at The Little Church Around The Corner. At the Altar is a beautiful bride, Georgie Fae Stone and beside her is her handsome groom, Ernest D. Standley. Wow! :lust look at the beautiful women receiving treatment in the Weaver Beauty Salon. The head operator is Madam Jean also the owner. She is very popular for her original hair styling. And last I see a very still room. The place has the appearance of a hospital--yes, it is a hospital. At the patient's bedside is Nurse Mary Francis Jones taking her first patient's temperature. I have looked into the future and read to you as I see it.
