Our Dear Miss Theobold: So you have decided to leave us, and give others the benefit of your splendid gift. As you leave us, you bequeath to us many of the spiritual things that only you could have created. You leave a tradition of fine writing It was you who built our school newspaper into one of the finest, built it upon good journalism. Your sponsorship of the Schurz Times helped build fine school spirit because it brought to the Schurz Family interesting stories and pictures. These pictures and stories have helped establish and maintain the wonderful traditions that make Schurz a living thing. The Schurzones, published under your guidance, have contributed in large measure to the fine life at Schurz. Each edition has been a work of beauty, artistically as well as journalistically. Your living interest in creative poetry has been reflected in the numerous poems written by our students and in the national honors which they have won. But greatest of all has been your interest in and your con- sideration of students. No task has been too great, no task has M been too meager to solicit your cheerful, unselfish assistance and care No! You will not leave us!
