E 'l'here are many subjects at Sfllllfl which help and train students in every thing they will need to be good citizens in future life. Career girls today and housewives tomorrow. Many girls plan for a home and a family someday. Good training is very important if a home is to be kept at its best. Beverly Natfel, Betty Nlateja, Violet 'l'raub and Regina Bauer, as well as many other girls, begin in high school to train for future homes by taking the Home Economics courses. .-Xmerica is one of the richest countries in the world. It leads the rest of the nations in resources and wealth. All those fortunate enough to be born in this country of freedom should take an interest and learn all they can about it. Civics and history enable all students to learn about America, its past, present, and future. Dale Von Ueyen and Barbara Kraus study foreign problems and current events in order to prepare for their future life when the responsibility of this country will belong to the youth of today. Many other students learn to be good citizens i ie history and civics classes here at Schurz. Any place in the world is only ' 1 t sixty hours away. Because foreign countries are becoming a part of our ' ryday lives more and more as the years pass, we should know something about the I ple in foreign countries. By learning their languages we also learn their l tbits an 'ustoms. Many languages are taught here at Schurz. Spanish, French, L rman nd Latin are among those IIIOSI readily chosen. Gloria and Angela Ram holt up pos ' of th ir home country, Mexico.
