What the people learn out of lifting and hauling and waiting and losing and laughing Goes into a scroll, an almanac, a record folding and unfolding, and the music goes down and around The story goes on and on, happens, forgets to happen, goes out and meets itself coming in, puts on disguises and drops them. Joining, doing, being a part of school activities--each insmls qualities of leadership in the active student mind. From rehear- sing a play to baking a cake, every student has an integral part, a part dedicated to the achievement of a long-awaited goal. These fun-filled memories are inscribed in the most durable, intimate al- manac of all, the memory. Mr. Sandburg strums his guitar and sings for students at the dedi- cation. In the background Mrs. Don- ald Bond and Mr. Gaylord Minne listen intently.
