I, Dennis Baasch, will my ability to behave when I’m around girls to Clifford Jewell, in hopes that he will get to know the girls in Washington better. BRUCE ALAN BELLAMY I have a photographic memory. My brain is just like a negative -- all it needs is developing. I, Bruce Bellamy, will my road maps of Ravenna, Grand Is- land, Wood River, and Boelus to Wilbur Roberts. Let’s hope he has better luck than I did. ROBERTA LYNN HADENFELDT Distressful beauty melts each stander-by. ” I, Bobbi Hadenfeldt, will my school spirit and especially my voice to Karen Long for her use in Pep Club so she can save her own voice for whatever purposes she saves it. RONNIE EUGENE HARDER For a good dinner and a gentle wife I can afford to wait. I, Ron Harder, will my ability to steal my brother-in-law's car at noon hour to Dennis Harb in hopes that he will get both his picture and name in the next assembly program. RONALD G. HARGENS He seems to be quiet but don't judge by appearances. I, Ron Hargens, will my Blue Bomb. my fantastic ability to drive, and my knowledge of the tenderness of a car to Wilbur Roberts. I, Betty Powers, will my milkmaid hands to Lois Brehm in hopes that when she becomes a certain farmer’s wife, she will have acquired a soft touch -- I mean for the cows, of course. GLENDA C. SCHUETT I can resist everything except temptation. I, Glenda Schuett, will my ability to make it through high school to Laura Myers in hopes that she, too, can collect a bet from Clifford Jewell. VICTORIA ANN WICHT If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way. I, Vicki Wicht, will my ability to keep the locker room clean to the PE and volleyball classes. (I wonder how some of you get home.) Dear Editor: ('PtafeAeccf I have just returned from the class reunion of the class of 1965. I'm sure you would like to know of the whereabouts and activities of my classmates. Shirly Argent is married and operates the largest Model Laundry in Grand Island. Classmate Dennis Baasch is a drill sergeant in the Army and is said to be very mean to new re- cruits. Bruce Bellamy is director of Medical Science at Nebraska U. He is working on a new Hybrid of goldfish to be used in experiments. Patty Bruhn is a model homemaker and a mother of nine. Tim Fielder is Chief Assistant to the Sec. of the Treasury and head of the Denver Mint. Judy Green is still gathering Speed in many of her favorite projects. Bobbi Hadenfeldt is a practicing R. N. and works in Ben Casey Memorial in New York. Big Ron Harder is a happily married man, raising his many children on his dairy farm. Ron Hargens is, of course, Cairo’s biggest land and cattle owner. Ted Helzer is a professional rodeo rider with a small spread in Ravanna, Nebraska. Connie Kirk is an economist for the Federal Government. I understand that she counts Pennies. Fred Krewson makes a fine living by racing motorcycles and Hondas. He also tinkers with Cor- vairs. Kay Larsen is head of the local nurses’ union. She also operates the regional blood-mobile. She retired from active nursing after contracting plague and the hibby-gebbys in Africa. Steve Larson is ranching in Texas using his violin to soothe the savage beasts. He still wears Beatle boots — hasn't grown an inch. Gary Luhn is the owner of the local car hospital and has five of his sons working with him. Sharon Mazankowski, and this may seem hard to believe, is cleaning decks in a private navy. The navy is her husband's who re-enlisted. Linda Myers lives in California where she models the latest beach wear. Betty Powers is the Chief Advisor to the President's Council on better home economics. Why should his wife have such a fine job? Glenda Schuett, better known as Zsa Zsa La Schuettzie in the night club world, is presently en- tertaining (???) at the Stork Club in New York City. Jim Schultz, along with his three children and beautiful redheaded wife, was not in attendance at the reunion because of pressing matters on his hog farm -- the farrowing season. Norman Sekutera has retired very early from the teen-age dancing circles; he was very Sober about it. Merna Stutzman is married and with her husband and four Sonnys leads a quiet life; her hus- band has a very level job. Robyn Thesenvitz resides in California; she works as a peach and plum picker in the summer and ski instructor in the winter. Rex Veeder runs a profitable inferior decorating company in Lincoln which just received the contract for the Taj Mahal. In our class we had a very even-tempered girl who all agreed was tops. Now Sheryl Wadding- ton is an instructor at Fo Yens-’ Judo School in East St. Louis. Dwane Vickstrom, married and has four children, has a very hot job — he’s an electrical engineer. He says he gets a real charge out of it. Vicki Wicht, who occasionally works as an R. N. at the St. Francis Hospital, now has a full- time job raising her thirteen children. Well, as for me, I live on the income I receive from donating my curls to science. Scientists are investigating the secrets of my curls to perfect a new hair-color formula - Rainbow Wow. A Former Classmate Francis Luhn V In the fall of 1961, a rugged group of bold mountaineers started up the slope of the uncon- quered mountain of knowledge. Mrs. Wiebe signed on as head mountaineer. The assault group consisted of Shirley Argent, Bruce Bellamy, Joan Brandt, Patty Bruhn, Judy Green, Bobbi Haden feldt, Ronnie Harder, Ronnie Hargens, Ted Helzer, Connie Argent, Connie Kirk, Kay Larsen, Steve Larson, Francis Luhn, Gary Luhn, Linda Myers, Betty Powers, Glenda Schuett, Everett Schwartz, Jim Schultz, Norman Sekutera, Merna Stutzman, Robyn Thesenvitz, Rex Veeder, Greg Libby, Dwane Vickstrom, Sheryl Waddington, Vicki Wicht, and Jeannette Sutliff. Lead- ers were: Rex, Bobbi, Judy, Betty and Steve. After a short while, we lost Jeannette after she stubbed her toe on a rock. After a steep climb up the treacherous precipice, we were joined by Juanita Vaith and Gene Heupel who had been separated from another party, also a crusading fanatic named Den- nis Baasch and a shy fellow named Fred Krewson. We lost Greg Libby to the abominable snow- man. Mr. Crowl helped pull, and our leaders were: Bobbi, Juanita, Betty, Linda, and Dwane. We stopped for a while to please Mr. Westcott with Our Town and to feast at the Days of Wine and Roses with some enthused Romans. Two members, Juanita and Gene, slipped and plummeted from the slope. Leaders were: Linda, Robyn, Betsy, and Everett. As we approached the last leg of the climb we stopped to regroup; and Everett and Joan were playing and fell off the Northwest slope. But hooked on the horn of a ram was Tim Field- er, who joined us. Mrs. Stevens pulled the ropes for the final ascent, and the leaders were: Bobbi, Fred, Sheryl, and Tim. So having climbed our first mountain, we were wined and dined by some admiring flatlanders and went in search of yet another conquest. (?1 za 'Poem WHICH ONE Which one of us can say — as the time has passed which hour of these fleeting years we will remember best. All have watched and seen life come.
