Class Poem Virgie Wooden is first in line She thinks boys are pretty fine At school she is really sharp And never gets a real low mark. Thelma Hahs, a swell senior gal Thinks Clyde is quite a pal At driving a car, she's really fine, As she keeps the pedestrians in a line. Don Stange is next in line He drives as though he were blind At basketball and football he’s a star And at dating girls he can’t be beat by far. Don Hargens, a football tackier Is also a very talented actor He drives his car all around town That’s where Joyce is apt to be found. Eleanora Swanson is next in line Everyone thinks she’s pretty fine, She likes the boys from out of town But some of her studies get her down. Next on our list comes Larry Who believes everyone should marry He’s sweet on a lass Who hails from the Sophomore class. Joyce Perkins is next on this list When with Don is in heavenly bliss Where there's sports she’s usually seen Also, she was our Homecoming queen. Gerald Spiehs is next in line At sports he’s very fine When he stays up late at night He never gets to school on time. Pat Hendrickson next in line She likes Bob pretty fine She is a jolly one to know Wre will hate to see her go. Leroy Heupel the guy with a grin Laughs at misfortunes that happen to him He works hard in all he does Such a guy there never was. I, Don Hargens, will my big monstrous build to Dick Worman. I, Hon Waddington, will my 4 1 Chev. to someone with an oil well. (They’ll need one ) I, Larry Spiehs, will my ability to keep away from watermelon patches to Tom Minor. (Which he will probably need.) I, Arlene Southard, will my quietness to Barbara Grotz. I, Virgie Wooden, will my singing ability to Janice Bruhn. I, Jackie Steinke, will my car driving ability (such as it may be) especially that part of getting off to a smooth start without grinding gears to Connie Hoffmeyer. I, Pat Hendrickson, will my daily routine to the post office to Bonnie Griffin. May she be as faithful as I have been. I, Leonard Spiens, will my ability to dance to Frank Hawk. I, Dera Lea Stutzman, will my shyness to Judy Baird. I, Marilyn Wheeler, will my ability to think of something to say to Shirley Stoeger. I, Tom Hulme, will my ability to keep from going steady to Wayne Veeder as he really needs it. I, Joyce Perkins, will my ability to go with one guy to Betty Caswell. I, Leroy Heupel, will my mechanical and electrical ability to Dick Hayden. I, Duane Rogers, will my ability to get along with all the teachers to Sam Reed which I am sure he will need. Arlene Southard, president of our class Has red hair, she's a cute little lass She can sing, cheerlead and yell The kids thinks she is real swell. Leonard Spiehs, a “Great Big man Is an ardent baseball fan He’s a good guy to know any day. And he mixes his work with his play. Marilyn Wheeler is a senior gal She's almost everyone’s pal For everyone she has a smile And plans to be a secretary after while. Tom Hulme's a chevy man Many a Ford, he's out ran He's real good at all the sports And the girls he likes to court. Dera Lea, a hard working gal She and D.K. are real good pals She is going to succeed To lifes troubles she will heed. Duane Rogers another swell guy Around the girls he's sorta shy He drives his car all around town But Amercian History gets him down. Jackie Steinke is leaving now We are sure she'll succeed somehow She enjoys all the sports As office girl, keeps records of all sorts. Dale Hinkson, next we'll see He and coach just don't agree At driving he is pretty slow. But when he's mad, he can really go. Don Waddington, is quite a pal As for girls he never fell In Cairo he's always been And in sports he's out to win.
