Kindergarten There were five shy little girls in the Kindergarten on the opening day of school; Terry Caswell, Jo Ann Cranford, Sally Hinkson, Sharon Ryan, and Marilyn Stutzman. Our first six weeks of school were spent adjusting to school routine, getting acquainted with each other and our teacher, and telling about our homes and families. On walks in the crisp fall air we watched Mother Nature preparing for winter. By now we were well adjusted and having a good time together. At the end of the first six weeks Marilyn moved out of town. We all missed her. Our en- rollment climbed to five again at the end of the third six weeks period when the Harold Gibsons moved to Cairo and Linda became a member of our class. Halloween and Christmas were both celebrated by us with a party at school. We enjoyed a gift exchange at our Christmas Party. All of us, including our teacher, Mrs. Caswell, were guests in the home of Terry Caswell on her sixth birthday. Now plans are being made for a Valentine Party. We will make all of the favors and decorations for this party by our- selves. Special guest will be Mrs. Veeder, Mrs. Burry and Mr. Southard. If our plans materialize, we will have a train trip to Grand Island. We haven’t decided what we will do while we are in the city. Another place that we plan to visit this spring is the home of Sally Hinkson. 25
