We started our school year with twenty-four pupils. Gerald Johnson joined us in the second semester. During the illness of our teacher, Mrs. Harold Southard, Mrs. Hugh Hinkson took her place for awhile.

The eighth grade welcomed a new student to their class at the beginning of the second semester, Loren Kennel. The seventh and eighth grades are very appreciative of the games provided by the P.T.A. They are in use during any intermission if the weather is bad.

Second and Third Grades 3RD ROW (Left to riRht): Rex Veeder, Betty Dexter (Larson). Linda Myers. Victor Keeler. Connie Caswell. Marilyn Harder. David Keeler. Dick Stutzman. Merna Rae Stutsman. 2ND ROW: Diane Ryan, Patty Bruhn, Gloria Jean Lundquist, Linda Stairs, Dwane Vickstrom, Ray Colman, Richard Snyder, Sheila Dexter (Larson). 1ST ROW: Stephen Larson, Dennis Baker. Glenda Schweitzer, Glenda Schuett. Karen Guy. Bruce Bellamy. Kay Larsen. There were 26 pupils in the room when school started. Virginia and Eugene Stutzman moved away in October. Scottie and Patsy Gibson joined us the second semester. The second grade has read three reading texts this term and has completed the phonic book which is correlated with reading. Social Studies has proved to be a very interesting subject in the third grade. The sub- ject matter covered was the various types of communities throughout the world. Introduction to multiplication and division was taught the second semester in the third grade. The indoor games purchased by the P.T.A. and given to our room were greatly apprec iated and enjoyed during the cold stormy winter.
