Interested students submit their names to the club advisor. Those running for representative or Town Council positions campaign with speeches and posters. Junior City Day begins with a mock town meeting, held in the CHS auditorium with everyone taking part. The students to hold offices for the day go to their prospective positions to observe. On the weekend of April 24-26, 1961, the band with 85 members traveled to Kennebunk, Maine. The Kennebunk High School Band returned our visit on May 12. Under the direction of Coach George Moran the Caribou Swimmers were successful in winning the trophies from the following events: Washburn Centennial Swim Meet, Potato Blossom Festival Swim Meet, and the County Swim Meet held in Caribou. THF CHRISTMAS ASSI-INIBLY Olefytow Under the leadership of Mr. Matthews the Clef-Tones, a choral group of four- teen, specialize in novelty numbers, often adapting pieces to suit their fancy. The Clef-Tones present programs at various public events throughout the year. The Caribou High School chorus un- der the direction of Kenneth Matthews took part in many activities this year.
