 WHO: The National Honor Society consisted of 25 members: Fifteen new junior members, one new senior member, and nine seniors who were members last year and this year. WHAT: The National Honor Society is a way to promote high academic standards, and an instrument for the betterment of the individual and the school. WHY: National Honor Society membership is a quality recognition for students. It gives each member a personal feeling of successful accomplishment. 1FHEN: Students may become members in the second semester of the junior year and again in the senior year. WHERE: Meetings were held in Mrs. Scherger's room to elect officers. The annual assembly to induct new members was held on April 30, 1986 in the auditorium. Society 6 N«Iorul Hooot

g ®® scj?® C©WJIC3l WHO: The Student Council consisted of 11 members: Four seniors, 3 juniors, 2 sophomores, and 2 freshmen. WHAT: The Student Council has a responsibility for school elections, homecoming, assemblies, candy cane Christmas wish sales, Hall of Fame award, and the school fair. WHY: The Student Council is the voice of the student body. If students take the time to express their concerns, the Student Council can play a role in sharing these matters with the administration. One becomes a class officer when elected to Student Council. There is always alot of work to do, but the accomplishments are recognized and appreciated. WHEN: Meetings vary. They may have a meeting per week during Homecoming activities, school elections, and the school fair. They met with Mr. McClintock twice this year to discuss student interests and concerns. WHERE: The meetings were usually held in Mr. Jenot's room, Room B. 8 Student Council
