Our lives have been enriched by a multitude of experiences, academics, culture, activities. The joy of learning has been immensely increased by the close friendship we have shared with our teachers. Our working together has developed everlasting friendship. Our lives have been broadened by the spirit of competition. To keep these memories clear to our hearts we, the Senior Class of 1965, present the Caryatid. Mr. Carl Cupp attended Ohio State University where he received his B.S. in education. He teaches Vocational Agriculture and Driver’s Education. Mr. Ronald Soupl u attended Findlay College where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He teaches eighth grade literature and spelling, and freshman and junior English classes. S' Mrs. Nancy Kinnard attended Ashland College where she received her B.S. in Education. She teaches Psychology, Speech, General Business, and sophomore English. Mrs. Marcella Bernard attended Bluffton College, University of Michigan and Ohio State University. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts in English literature. She teaches Latin and freshman English. Mrs. Josephine Newhard attended B.G.S.U., Marshal University in Huntington, West Virginia, and Ohio Wesleyan where she received her B.A. She teaches two years of French and is in charge of the library. Mrs. Esther Leathers attended Findlay College and received a Bachelor of Arts and Honorary Doctor of Pedagogy. She teaches Junior and Senior English. Mr. Carl Dilts attended Ohio Northern University. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. He is teaching eighth grade and freshman shop classes. Mr. Earl Greer attended Findlay College, receiving a Bachelor of Education, and a Master of Education from Bowling Green University. He is teaching the business courses. Miss Helen Smith attended Ohio State, University of Wisconsin and Ohio Wesleyan where she received her B.A. degree. She teaches Sophomore English and American history. Mr. Ralph Roberta attended Findlay College where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree. He teaches Science and Biology. Mrs. Dorothy Blackburn attended Heidelberg College where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. She is in charge of vocal music. Mr. Dee Doyce Rice attended Findlay College. He is teaching World History and Government. Mrs. Mad ye Luyhibihl attended Bowling Green State University. She received a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics. She is teaching Typing I, General Business, and junior Home Economics. Mr. John Gregory attended Bowling Green State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science, and University of Michigan. He has all the instrumental music classes. Mrs. Ruth McMaster attended Bowling Green State University and received a Bachelor of Science. She teaches eighth grade home economics classes. Mr. James Schmidt attended Bowling Green State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree. He teaches Algebra I and Plane Geometry. Mr. Geschwind attended Ohio Northern University and received the Bachelor of Science degree. He is Head Football Coach and teaches in the sixth grade. Mr. Cecil Stoltz attended the University of Cincinnati where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree. He is teaching eighth grade history and English. 5 Mrs. Grace Baker attended Ohio State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Education. She teaches girls’ physical education class. Miss Nancy Combine attended B.G.S.U., has a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling. She teaches eighth grade math and is the guidance counselor. Mrs. Margaret Phillips attended Fairmont State College and she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education. She teaches freshmen, sophomores, and junior home economics. Mr. Charles Shaffer attended Fairmont State College and Bowling Green State University. He received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Arts from Fairmont State College. He teaches junior and senior shop and mechanical drawing. Mr. Myron Lee Koch attended Ohio State and Heidelberg College where he received his B.A. He did graduate work at Ohio Wesleyan and University of Southern Florida. He teaches biology, chemistry, and physics. Mr. Carroll Cooper received his B.S. from Findlay College and his Master of Education from Bowling Green. He is in charge of boys’ physical education and study hall. Mr. Thomas Norris attended Bowling Green State University. He teaches math to freshmen ar.d seniors and science to eighth graders. 6 Superintendent Douglas W. Myers Mr. Myers is greatly respected around the school. Superintendent Myers has the difficult task of making the school run smoothly. Mr. Myers is always willing to cooperate and we have achieved great harmony between the faculty and students this year. We feel privileged to have such a man working with us. Principal Cloyce D. Wentling Mr. Wentling is a servant to the high school. Mr. Wentling has drawn the admiration of the students. It gives offensive men practice on driving and gives defensive man practice on moving his feet and keeping his man from the basket. When you feed the pivot man. you expect a shot. In order to do this, the pivot man has to be able to maneuver for a shot. Dave Tong practices this while Tom Bernard works on his defensive moves. Both accomplish a lot. A layup is a pivot man’s best friend. When he gets away from his man. he is usually four to five feet from the bucket. Keith Orians is one of these men. He practices every night on shots that are close. He knows he can’t miss; he doesn’t very often. They take this position at the beginning of the second and third periods.
