THEY HELP IMPROVE OUR SCHOOL . . Pictured above are Jennie Steen, Dr. Everette McKee, Dr. H. R. Wcnner, Harry Myers, Vincent Brown, Ferdinand Williams, and Douglas Myers. The backbone of our school-our school board. Seldom do we see them; but they are always thinking of our needs, improving our school, and planning for our future. We can now begin to realize and appreciate all the work our school board members do to make the Carey Schools as fine and respected as they are. AND KEEP OUR RECORDS STRAIGHT Ruth Karg and Jenny Steen are pictured here as the secretaries to Mr. Wentling and Mr. Myers. We would like to express our gratitude to both, not only for keeping the records of both the school board and the schools but also for their friendliness. THEY ADMINISTER Our school administrator, Douglas Myers, accepted his present position as Superintendent of schools in the fall of 1955. While in college, Mr. Myers attended Ohio State University. Here he majored in social studies and minored in Biological Science. It was from this same university that he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree. At the University of Toledo, he majored in School Administration and received his Master of Arts Degree. Devoted men take time out to discuss school workings. Cloyce Wending, the principal of Carey High School is as well qualified as he is busy. After receiving his B.S. in Education from Bowling Green State University, he came to Carey to teach. Later he received his masters of Education in Administration from the same school, and became principal. Besides performing these duties, he has also become a friend to all students and the faculty.
