SENIOR CLASS Miss Smith We the Senior Class of 1952 are closing the last chapter of our memories at Carey High School. Chapter I. Freshmen. This was the opening of a new world of initiations, meeting upper classmen and teachers, and acknowledgement of the thrill of recognition. Chapter II. Sophomores. The Sophomore year proved to be a very exciting chapter of our high school experiences. The highlight of that year was the two one-act plays we presented to the student body. Miss Clagett Chapter III. Jolly Juniors. With the help, guidance, and patience of Miss Clagett, we presented our play “The Divine Flora”. Then came the moon lite night of dancing, guitars, soft music and palm trees when we anchored our boat at Hawaii and gave tribute to the Graduating Class of 1951. Chapter IV. We treasure many happy memories in our last Chapter at Carey High School. Now we have the wonderful feeling of being respected, leaving assemblies first, and knowing at last we have fulfilled a childhood dream. Ronnie Treece, President, Franklin Emerine, Vice-President, Lucille Lowmas-ter, Secretary, and Mary Jane Collett, Treasurer, filled the executive offices for the year. We chose the red rose for our flower and red and white for our colors. And our motto, “From a little spark may burst a mighty flame.” Now as we turn the last page of the chapter, we say farewell and thank you to the teachers and friends who have made our four chapters complete.
