Vice President Clarence Hoepf President Shirley Hughes Secretary-T reasurer Marcella Phillips Out Of Our Oust As members of the Class of 1950, we started the year by electing officers to lead us through our final year. We chose Shirley Hughes as president, Clarence Hoepf as vice president, and Marcella Phillips as secretary-treasurer. Miss Smith and Miss Clagett served as class sponsors. We Seniors selected Out of Our Past Into Our Future as our guiding motto, green and white as our class colors, and the gardenia as our flower. One of the big events for us was the presentation of Lucky Penny during our Junior year. Judy Dible and Melvin Shreiner had starring roles. For our Senior play, the class decided to give the three-act play The Old School Spirit . The big event in sports was the Upper In o Our Future Sandusky-Carey football game which ended with a score of 19 to 12 in Carey's favor. All the Senior sportsmen should go out with a feeling of great accomplishment. Near the close of our Junior year, we gave, as a tribute to the Class of '49, a successful banquet following the Southern Colonial theme. Now, as Seniors, we are looking forward eagerly to the banquet to be given in our honor in the spring. Time is passing quickly now, and soon we will be hearing the familiar strains of Where, Oh Where , and we will be on our own in the wide, wide world . Four happy years will be in the past, but we, the Class of 1950, will carry with us into the future many fond memories, as well as the knowledge which we have gained.
