Van Buren to resign last lanuary from the Carey Board ot Education, alter six years ot splendid service on that body. Dr, Van Buren is now in the medical corps of the United States armed forces with the rank ot captain. As provided by law, the Board at a meeting held February 8th, elected Bay Tracy to serve the unexpired term oi Dr. Van Buren. Mr. Tracy, a veteran of World War l, is deeply interested in his community and its educational program. He will receive a cordial welcome irom his fellow mem- bers oi the Board, the administration, the faculty, and the student body. lt seems highly appropriate While Dr. Van Buren is answering the call of his country, that a man replace him who has served it so well in the past.
