At the second qonq, Martha Gottfried was elected head drurn rnajory Reid Burson as senior librariang Wayne Zahn as his assistant, and Herald Luzader as rnanaaer with Harold Brown to help. Durinq the first few months we marched in hopes that the Carey fans would be proud of us at the football aames Cwe ate tended all except onel and the County Fair, but the rnost of our tirne was spent on intonation and balance in preparation for our sprina concert, May 9. ln the rneantirne we did some serenadinq at the basketball qarnes, Community lnstitute, and we hope to be invited to the Van Vlfert Peony Festival in lune. Mr. Holloway set up a new system this year, in which we inust earn points by practice, attendance at rehearsals, music lessons, and public appearances, to rnal-te us eliaible for a senior pin or letter. Many are the tirnes that the sweat drips from our brows as we scratch for an A or B. M FLOX AND CO. GOFF FUNERAL HOME F. H.
