'l53:T:1' '5fi'7'5f'Aff3i5f5i At the first meeting of thc Girls' Glee.Club this Fall there was sufficient interest displayed to enable the group to divide ao- cording to classes. Margaret Pahl was elected General Secretary of the Junior and Senior group and Mary Louise Mullholand of the Fresh- men and Sophomore group. Under the supervision of Miss Finley, practice took place in the music room once a week. During the first semester new music was pur- chased which created renewed inter- est in both sections. The Junior-Senior musical or- ganization made its debut by sing- ing two numbers before the P.T.A. It willingly appeared on the Farm- ers' Institute program and also at the Armistice Day Celebration. Although the Freshmen and Sophomore Glue Club dlu not appear before the public as a group at any time during the year, yet the mem- bers put forth an earnest P' 't and the training received this year will prove a valuable asset in the future. Ten girlsg Mary Braun, Margie Audritsh, Mauel Wilson, Genevicae Dow,Dorces Baker, Kathleen Williams Helen Strahm,Catherine Hart, Glenna Kurtz, Ruth Riester, and Rita Jrown accompanist, were selected from the two glee clubs to sing two numbers, nPrayer of Consccrationu, and WBy the Bend of the Rivern, at a song festival at Crestline, Ohio, April 27. These selections will be sung by this same group at Commencement. The year has been one of con- siderable achievement and pleasure to all concerned and it makes the Senior members a bit sad to think that their graduation marks the end of a Way and means of giving vent to their vocal outbursts and mus- icul inclinations. , - -f - -I -' 1' -mayy.:L:LsL:L:a:Lx:uaszy 1 J A 1 9 5 4: 594551:-'-ikifwrm 'wwm n 111- 1- n 1- 1- 4 A 1- 1- 1- 1 'LJ-JL2LJL--JLJLJ' :LIL L2LJiJLJLJL LJLJL-- JLJL L '7xnnnnn sfnnnnnxnxnnnn ann 0 A
