Dean Brngman Phxlrp Conaway Donald Coomer Ierry Healea Warren Levmgs Tom Ma ceyko Robert McClenathan Iames Patterson George Schaf fer Lowell Strme Smythe Van Srckle Sylvra Barton Carol Betts Wrmfred Brandum Esther Foust Carol Claytor Harold Claytor Mary Greenawalt Betty Henry Martlyn Lmstedt Dons Schorr Ann Schwartz Sandra Sexton Dons Waddell Lours Waterer Vaughn Cole and Terry Bonnette Mr I L Soon we played our second game and our coaches were Mrs Adams and Mrs Mary Byrd Durmg the game we learned our basrc fundamentals At the end of the season we gave one of our coaches Mrs Adams a surprrse v1c tory party as she was gomg to leave our ball club soon We had two new held coaches ln the thrrd game They were Mrss Ruth Gugel and Mrss Martha Lrchtenburger We bought three new players thrs year Kerth Rlchey from the Edlson Club and Wllham Strohl from the Norton Club and Frank Levermg For the fourth game some of us were strll coached by Mrss Lrchtenburger and the rematnlng group was coached by Mrs Clarrce Saunders We exchanged Terry Bonnette and Louzs Waterer for two new members Barbara Bartley and Martha Augenstetn In the frfth game we suffered the loss of the Claytor Twms but they were soon replaced by Margaret Van the Lrma Club Our coaches were Mrs Golda Gale and Mrs Elva Hartpence Thrs year we had Frrday Morning Exercrses to hmber us up and also kept tab on the current events tmamly those on the sport pagel We also acqurred a new base l1ne coach Mr Wllbur A McAl1ster In the srxth game for the ftrst trme we had a man for fxeld coach Mr Roy Mrller and Mrs Gale lead us through another vrctorrous year Now after srx years of playmg expenence we were under the coachxng of several drfferent coaches Mrs Nelda Akron was coach over our home base and Smythe Van Sxckle was selected as presrdent of the Club We lost one member Martha Augenstem to the Fulton Club We bought Iames Estep from Marengo Robert Harms from Salem and Robert McNary from East Clark 1n Cleveland The club took tts flrst outlng together on a hayrrde to the Lutheran Memonal Camp at Fulton Ohro Once agam we had a man for a coach as Mr Ray Saunders gurded us through our elghth game We bought two more members Barbara Brooks from Detrolt and Valerre Chalfant and also won back the Claytor Twms Durmg the 7th and 8th games we combmed sports wrth dancmg and many of us took part rn the May Pole Dance for May Day Durmg the nmth year of playrng we were a very actrve team We gamed seven new members from the nerghbor mg Fulton Club They were Nancy Powell Ianxce Pearl Martha Augenstem Maurrce Gnmm and Ehzabeth Fritch Also Tom Damels iomed us comxng from the Radnor Club and Patncxa Weller from Marlon We were coached by Mrs Ruth Patterson and the club was lead by Ann Schwartz who was also football attendant here we mlxed the two sports football and baseball Dons Schorr and Carol Betts changed from their base ball su1ts to forrnals to take part rn the May Day Program by berng attendants for the queen Fmally after etght games of playrng experxence our club became rmportant enough to have representatrves 1n the Student Councrl and the club elected Ruth Fmk and Smythe Van Srckle to thrs base Sylvra Barton was also selected to boost the team actmg as cheerleader We deczded our club needed some money so we sponsored a bake sale and an rce cream socral whxch brought 1n good dwrdends to support the club In the tenth game we had Mrs Vrrgmra Rrchey and Mr Herber Schellenger as our coaches Our team elected lames Estep as our captam for the year We ordered our baseball shrrts of royal blue and whrte We sponsored a dance Hobo Hop to hold us over untrl the baseball season opened We agam had student counc1l representa ttves Frank Levermg and Ruth Fmk Our football attendant was Iamce Pearl and for the May Day Festrvrtres Valerle Chalfant and Sylvla Barton represented the club Cheer leaders for th1s game were IoAnn Pearl and Sylvra Barton ln our eleventh game Mrs Rrchey had sole gurdance or our club Our captam was Frank Levermg Our student counc1l representatrves were Betty Henry and Vaughn Cole The cheerleaders were Sylvra Barton IoAnn and lamce Pearl and Carol Betts The football attendant was Sylvta Barton and for May Day we plcked the queen of our club Mtss Ann Schwartz The attendants were IoAnn Deal Betty Henry and Sandra Sexton We ordered our club rmgs and put on the great productron of the play trtled You re Only Young Once on November 18 whrch was drrected by Mxss Fae Burr srde l1ne coach On November 4 we sponsored a chxle supper and the Home commg Dance Also the Sprmg Hop whxch was on Aprrl 7 That sprmg we took the semor club on a Ha wauan Crurse for the fmal farewell banquet Our last act for the senror club was makrng a candle hte arsle for them at the1r baccalaureate Thrs was the fmal mght game of the season under the arc of hghts We also lost a fme sports star Tom Damels As we entered the last game of the season we were coached under the excellent guxdance of Mr Floyd Davrs and Mr Brlly May We re elected as our captam Frank Levermg Our student counc1l representatrves from the club were Betty Henry and Lowell Strme The football team elected Dons Schorr for thetr queen The squad elect ed for therr May Day attendants Betty Henry Marrlyn Lm stedt and Iamce Pearl Durmg thxs year Eugene Pme from Hardmg Jomed our club and Tom Damels came back to us from Pleasantvrlle We sponsored the Homecommg Chxle Supper May Day Dance and a scrap drrve among other protects The club presented therr fmal play productlon Meet Me In St Lours and agarn Mxss Burr dtrected rt We sent out our fmal announcements for our last game and also posed for our last ptcture as a vxctonous team On May ll the tumor club entertamed us wrth a mght rn Mexxco On May l3 we left for our weeks vacatxon to Washmgton and on May 19 was our Baccalaureate servrce wrth Rev Wrllram Bash presentmg the sermon On the mght of May 23 was the chmax of our baseball season
