Hastory Of The Class Of 1953 One mornang an September of 1941 we boarded as passengers on the Traan of Educataon The conductors of the farst leg of our journey were Mass Mary Zwerner lnow Mrs W A McAlas terl and Mass Kathryn Kang The passengers now ready to leave that boarded together are Phalap Casteel Dale Coomer Jerry Decker Iadell Carpenter Don Ocker Ben Cumston Pat Long Charlotte Patterson Barbara Calbert Sharley Fowble Geraldane Maceyko Maralyn Boger Morras Westbrook Donna Hart Irma Mateer James Jeanne Rengert Doras Shaw John Gompf Rachard Lowther Frank Curl Lloyd Ruehrmund Ed Hempfaeld Leo Gattshall John Walson and Noel Underwood Barbara Calbert left us at the end of thas part of our journey They forgot the bunks on thas traan so we napped on lattle rugs As we started the second leg of our journey our conductors Mass Mary McBrade and Mrs Maruetta Gardner made thus part of our trap more enjoyable On the menu of the thard leg of our journey we got a taste of examanataons We were quate thralled that we were allowed thas delacacy Our conductors were Mass Carrae Phalbrook and Mrs Ardas Florstedt Janace Sparks boarded here Our conductors Mass Martha Lachtenberger and Mrs Ardas Florstedt helped to guade us through thas part of the trap Passengers that joaned us thas year were Larry Faust Lowell Shaffer and Barbara Colbert We started off agaan after a short rest wath new conductors Mrs Golda Gale and Mrs Elva Hartpence As we are growang older we are learnang more Some of the thangs we learned on thas journey that we shall never forget are states and capatals countaes and our spellang We acquared two new passengers namely Rose Landon Benson and Evalyn Bowman The next journey was much the same as the prevaous We added a lattle entertaanment to thas trap an the form of Fraday mornang programs We are even more grown up now we now have a basketball team and cheerleaders Our conductors on thas venture were Mrs Helen Burggraf and Mrs Golda Gale Two new passengers thas year were Dranel Sherman and Bar bara Beveradge Sharley Fowble left near the end of thas trap ln the fall of 1947 we awoke to the fact that we were now goang up the anclane toward the seventh grade Our conductors on thas stretch of the journey were many New passengers that boarded here were Jacquelane Mason Juanata Rachey and Betty Strohl Contanuang on towards our goal we are enterang the eaghth stretch of our journey W gaaned one new passenger Nancy Maple At thas poant we swatched to the hagher classed traan Mrs Kay Kendall our overseer an the lounge car guaded us over the hump an our new traan Fave new passengers Ella Gossett Kathryn Wallaams Sharley Fowble Melvan Robanson and Bruce Reppart joaned us We wore out the one overseer so now we are davaded anto two groups wath an overseer over each group Our overseers Mrs Mary Oran and Mr Dennas Bell helped us make a success of many class projects that we carraed on thas trap Judath Watter and Tam Hardman joaned us here We are now back under one conductor Mrs Ruth Patterson On thus trap we gave a play The Bashop s Mantle It was a great success We had manv other projects all of whach have been a success The clamax for thas trap was the Junaor Senaor Banquet Beverly Ganson joaned us at thas stage of our journey Now we are on the last sectaon of the raght track headed for Daplomavalle To break the monotony of the trap we presented Feudan Over Yonder Our projects were many and they proved successful One haghlnght of thas journey was a sade trap to Washangton D C We spent fave wonderful days on thas trap seeang many mterestang places and scenac spots I - 1 1 ' I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I . , .
