Although the team fell short in many of its City League meets, where it finished ninth out of 13 teams, it ex- celled in AA competition. Coach Rick Moulton described the team as having great depth and being very competitive. He said that there was no single strong performer but a balanced line-up. The girls track team had a respect- able season under first-year coach Sharon Houghton. Miss Houghton said that the team's strongest performers were Cheryl Barocsi in the 1600 and 800 meters and Lynn Powers in the long jump. The girls also had avery young team andwill have many returners for next year. The awards went to Lynn Powers and John Galla for most improved.
