David Crosjcan, Student Council president. stardwfellhment 72 Two major changes in stu- dent government appeared this year, one in Student Council, the other in the class oflices. To give more students the chance to actively participate in school affairs, it was voted that beginning this year the elected Linda Tscherne, vice-president. home room representative and his alternate would exchange places at second semester. There are now 46 official rep- resentatives instead of the form- er 23. Because of the end to the boy-girl segregation, the former policy for separate class officers was dropped. In the ,68-,69 school year, there were only the four main oi-lices for each class, and these were open to any qualified student. As the voice of the student body, the Council's main pur- pose was to serve as a go-be- tweenv for students and ad- ministration. It sponsored the annual Homecoming Dance, va- rious assemblies, and was active in functions of Toledo Area Stu- dent Council. The classes had their own projects during the year, such as booths at the Harvest Festi- val, Spirit Week, and the Junior-Senior Prom.
