Most of your day was spent in class. Unknown to some it was your main purpose for being here. The day held eight periods- eight diferent classes. Each was separate and distinct, yet all were united by one main factor - a giving of knowledge. Some classes were completely serious but most held a few moments of fun. There were times when you were happy with the proceedings and there were times when you thought the buzzer would never sound. Your class schedule could range anywhere from physics to study- halls. You chose your courses and it was up to you to find the best ones. Some may have been harder and taken more time and effort, but when you came out on top in these, you knew you had achieved something. It wasn't the grades that mattered though, it was how much you put into each class and how much you tried These were what made you excell. These were what made it more than just a classg these were what made it your class.

You, the underclassmen took part in athletics every day. You attended phys ed classes and under the direction 0 Miss f Sheibley and Mr. Glinka, you did any number of diferent things. You boys held wrestling and basketball intramurals X and in the spring there were achievement tests. Points were given for each feat and you gained recognition. On the west side of the building things were moving too. Soft- ball and basketball games were played between your diferent squads. You too competed in a physical fitness test. Tumbling was one of your favorite sports. And you all tried to accomplish such great feats as standing on your head, flips and pyramids. Some of you may have thought these completely impossible at first, but you soon changed thatg timewise these classes were a small part of your day - small but important. They gave you what you needed to make you move-and you moved. wf 4'
