MR DOERR LISTENS VERY ATTENTIVELY AS ACTORS PRAC- TICE THLIR HOLES EARTH IS NO THE EARTH lSN'T FLAT. IT IS ROUND. MISS MARY SWARTZLANDER teaches the fundamentals of home economics. The things she teaches in home economics range from cooking to dress- making. MR. MARTIN VIETH head football coach at Stritch is a counselor and teaches business math. Mr. Vieth has his mas- er's degree from Notre Dame University. MR. RONALD ZAK has been quite successful with his new position of head basketball coach. Besides his coaching job Mr. Zak also teaches sen- ior boys business and govern- ment. Eu .xr , .,,! is SISTER MARY VENARD, Latin teacher, and moderator of the Latin Club has her B.A. in Lat- in from the University of De- troit. SISTER MARY VICTORIANA is one of the three typing in- structors. Sister also teaches shorthand and is a graduate of Detroit Commercial College and Mary Manse College. MR. JOHN PHILIP ZAUGG, JR., taking over the role as mu- sic director has been successful in his new position also. He led the chorus to a Stritch first: an assembly for the chorus.

FATHER OMER RETHINGER is Stritch's fre s h m a n religion teacher. Father has been teach- ing here for two years. MISS JEANNINE SHEIBLEY teaches health and phys ed to freshman and sophomore girls. She is a graduate of Mary Manse and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree. MR. PATRICK REILLY, the coach of Stritch's victorious wrestling team this year, teaches American history. Mr. Reilly received his B.A. degree from the University of Toledo. SISTER ST. ANNE serves as li- brarian at Stritch. Sister is also the moderate of the Future Li- brarians Club. MR. ROBERT STROGONOFF another new addition to the Science staff teaches physiol- ogy and general science. 106
