Busy convincing her class that the answer is easy to obtain, Sister Gail taught mathematics most of the day. At semester time, Sister Gail re- Ceived a new assignment and is now employed at Marion College. WW Mr. Kane teaches a variety of business courses. As moderator of boys' intramurals he has Lontributed many hours to making the program one of the best at Ritter, Sister Madonna, who returned to Ritter after teaching at St. Marys tor three years, teaches English to the freshmen and juniors. 43

Left: jim Gemmell, Ritter's new band director, leads the newly-uniformed band in a successful marching season and a promising concert season. Directing the colorful pep band and the spirited stage band are to his credit. As the instructor of music and an, he is able to teach his stu- dents to appreciate the fine arts. Kathleen Evans is a Betty Crocker in disguise. Cooking up an enjoyable class is never a chore for her. She teaches the culinary angle of home economics and is always bubbling over with ideas for delicious menus. Above: Virginia Hamm aids her students in their artistic efforts. Teaching her pu- pils the art of handicrafts keeps her busy and on the move. She helps her students' creativity come to the surface.
