Freshmen Fever: It ' s Contagious! The first year for the class of ' 84 can best be described as remarkable. Most freshmen can remember vividly the hot day in August when they were assigned their homerooms and the next few days after that when they were desperately seeking classes and trying to decide what lunch they should go to. RIGHT: Beth Hill, Mike Fury and Michele Kristensen display great enthusiasm while working on class float. But once things began to get normal an amazing thing hap- pened. School enthusiasm began to catch on. Freshmen seemed to realize that they were privileged to be at Cardinal Newman. This was most clearly evident in the first place taking of the raffle activities. Another strong point of the fresh- men class was the attendance. Freshmen on the average, have the least amount of absentees. The prospects of the freshman class are many and assuming that It remains that way the class of 84 has an excellent chance for greatness, said John Voss. 304 FRESHMEN
