W ' -, The class with spirit For junior Mark Givens, showing his class spirit meant wearing a mask as part of the home coming festivities. Our class is hardworking, spirited, and we ' ve given school spirit to each other and generated even more in the school, said Bill DelGrosso, vice- president of the junior class. Under the leadership of their officers and rookie moderator, Mrs. Diane Johnson, the juniors were willing to work and volunteer to achieve their main goal: unity. The class officers were: Robby Acosta, president; Bill Del Grosso, vice-president; John Grieb, secretary; and David Martoccia, treasurer. The officers led their class in selling mugs which were embossed with a blue Crusader emblem. The students bought over 450 mugs. The profit was over three-hundred dollars which went to the junior ' s prom fund. The junior ' s next chore was the Ring Day Mass reception. The traditionally junior job involved decorating the cafeteria, serving the food and cleaning up afterward. Under the direction of Miliani Ellis, the event ran smoothly. The most important activity for the juniors was the homecoming competi- tion led by Ed Galbraith. Homecoming Committee Chairman. As a result of their organization, the juniors swept the competition and toppled the over- confident Senior Class. The finest hour for the juniors came on November 7th when the classes ' entered the gym for the pep rally Chanting Rough and Rowdie Juniors. ' they showed their support for the Crusader team an their overwhelming spirit. The junior class proved that by working together, we can accomplish goals, and by accomplishing them, we set goals for future classes, said John Grieb. I think our class has a lot of spirit and through homecoming, we ' ve shown that the juniors can accomplish any goal we set, said David Martoccia. The junior class set an admirable example of spirit and leadership for the school. They were more than ready to take on the leadership and responsibility which is to be presented to them next year as seniors. 272 JUNIORS
