A former tile setter Mr. Patrick O ' Hare changed his profession to teaching history. He said he enjoys sharing his knowledge with the student body. Mr. O ' Hare is known for taking out his guitar and strum- ming for his fans after school. Mrs. Jane Panse, P.E. teacher, said, 1 like seeing a different side of students that other teachers don ' t see. In her time away from school she is involved in a marriage preparation course, and to relax and unwind from a hard day, she can be found swimming or fishing. Mrs. Alicia Rafter may be an English and Latin teacher at New- man, but above that she is a mother and wife. After leaving school she serves as chauffeur, cook, nurse, Cub Scout Committee member, and many other roles. Math department chairman, Sr. Anne Richard has only one complaint about teaching, and that is lunch duty. One of her jobs is distributing uniforms, but being a refunder is her hobby.
