ood-bye to all those hassles that automatically came with school, and hello to parties! Night was the time to cruise to those favorite spots and socialize with friends. The Blue Heron Bridge was to night life what Michelob was to beer. That infamous bridge led to the Green House, Portofino, and, of course, the beach for those late night walks. Some students chose other locales, but no matter the preference, something could always be founj to release all those tensions and to help them forget about school.

What is not immediately apparent is the diversity of lives, the diversity that makes Cardinal Newman High School different. Whether it be humdrum activities of a normal day or the excitement of special events, student life at Newman emphasizes that to be different is to be typical.
