GLEE CLUB SPONSORS ASSEMBLY Amid all the confusion caused by preparing for the feast of Christmas the Clee Club, led by Sister Mary Esther, was busy planning the Christmas a s s e m b l y. For weeks, Christmas carols could be heard throughout t he school during enrichment per- iod. Finally, on December 18, after second period, the entire student body assembled in the gymnasium for the program. After the assembly was open- ed by master of ceremonies, Tim Wilson, Santa C l a u s fportrayed by Mike Cibsonj dropped in to pay a visit on his way through Sarasota. Then Santa presented each member of the Clee Club with a little present. After all the members had opened their gifts, which turned out to be small bells of various descrip- tions, the singing was opened with ulingle Bellsf' The choir's entire repertoire was excel- lently accompained by Do- reen Ludwig at the piano. X 42, if ini We wish you or merry Christmas and a happy New Yecr At the close of the program Frank D'Amelio, president of the Student Council, present- ed a gift to Father Moran from the Student body. Father Moran, in turn, surprised the students with a huge supply of ice cream and cake for everyone present. School was dismissed at noon with a sincere wish to everyone for a very Merry Christmas. l77l
