s President Vice President Secretary Treasurer T. Scarnecchia D. Rynearson D. Buber S. Milanich The sophomores had a very fine year working, having fun, and making money. In the beginning of the year, they ordered their class ringsg half of the class got black onyx while the other half got white gold, which were equally as nice. Their candidate for the Carnival Queen was Geraldine Gotham. After a close and exciting ticket selling spree the sophomores edged out the fresh- men, and Geri reigned as Carnival Queen. Their main event of the year was a Twirp Twirl dance. Many girls took part by asking the boys and made the dance a great success. The freshmen had the largest enrollment in our school's history. This made it difficult for them to organize the classg nevertheless, class officers were elected and presided over their business meetings throughout the year. The class chose Marlene Skolaris as candidate for Carnival Queen and put up a hard fight against the upperclassmen. Initiation was carried off with great success. It consisted of a great bon- fire, pep rally, snake-dance, and skits put on by the freshmen. Of course, all senior's shoes were polished and shining by the end of the evening! 26
