On May 17, 1957, the four senior girls who were members of the National Honor Society held initia- tion exercises for the new members of the National Honor Society at a special school assembly. Mem- bership requirements were based on scholarship, character, leadership, and service. There were five new active members initiated: Bruce Allen, Faith Hoien, George Cervenka, John Jordak, and Roger Williams There were also three new probationary members initiated: Cathy Miller, Germaine Caka, and Joyce Nedved.
