Bioloqu cmd Radio Clubs l .ap 1 If 1 X 'S .18 The primary aim of the Biology Club is to fulfill the desires of those students who Wish to study in greater detail the science of Biology. Under the direction of Brother Bellarmine members use advanced techniques in Working on indi- vidual and group projects. These projects are submitted for interscholastic competition during the course of the year. Various films are shown to members to illustrate the latest discoveries in Biology and aid members in understanding more fully the different aspects of this science. In the practical scope of Biology field trips are provided. ' Under the auspices of its moderator, Father Heck, the club offers numerous D h Ll C S opportunities for students of junior and senior years to experiment in the realm of Physics. To this end, the laboratory, with its complex equipment, is at the disposal of club members. Projects are undertaken which may be entered in C' D various contests or submitted as scholarship works to large corporations. The U club provides a solid foundation for those who are considering entrance into the field of Physics. Standing: Rudolph Skvorec, Joseph Musella, Philip Fultz, Theodore Arnold, Joseph Canuncio, John Madden, William Ryan, Jose Tapia. The Skating Club is one of the societies which puts emphasis on the social S k O t l n q life of the Hayesman. The club, consisting solely of seniors, makes arrangements J for skating parties which are held from time to time at the Fordham Skating Palace. Under Fr. Guido's competent direction, they act also as ushers at the G n d skating parties. D The Library Club, under the able direction of its moderator, Brother Leonard L I b rl G rl L4 Francis, endeavors to advance the cause of literature among the students at Hayes. Meetings are frequently held and the means of achieving this noble aim are , discussed. Club members maintain the school library and advise Hayesmen on C I U b S the use of its excellent facilities.
