Catholic Students' Mission Crusade John Fedigan takes the weekly collection for the missions during homeroom period. The student body of Cardinal Hayes has graciously an- swered the plea for help to the missions by giving more than seven thousand dollars to this worthy cause each year. This monetary offering is used to feed, educate and provide medi- cal aid for the underprivileged, suppressed and illiterate masses. Since Communism with billions of dollars to spend can advance its cause anywhere throughout the world, the Catholic missionaries have to depend on the generosity of Catholic organizations principally schools to get money. This dependence is certainly acknowledged by the students in their yearly contributions. 86
