Father Foley, the moderator, was very pleased with the showing the team made throughout the season. ln the City Championships the relay team of O'Donnell, Coleman, Chester and Hennessy took first place: O'Donnell won the 50-yd. free style championship, and Chester the lOO-yd. championship, Hennessy took fourth place in the breast stroke. The team placed third in this meet. ln the Private Schools' Championship Meet the Hayes team also took third place with the relay team again coming in first and Coleman and Chester placing third in the 50-yd, and lOO-yd. free style races respectively. Peter Kelly won first place in the diving competition in the City Novice Championships. Terry O'Donnell was undefeated in league competition and set a new school record of O:l9.6 for the 40-yd. free style. Alan Chester also set a new school record of 0259.2 for the lOO-yd. free style. The highest individual scores were: O'Donnell lO6, Chester lOO, Coleman 85, Hennessy 74, and Santucci 63. l3l FATHER FOLEY Moderator

St. Michael Hayes Manhattan Prep Hayes St. Ann's Hayes LaSalle Hayes Xavier Hayes Regis Hayes Fordham Prep Hayes Stepinac Hayes Power Hayes All Hallows As the CALENDAR goes to press, the Varsity Baseball team, coached by Mr. Krywicki and captained by Pat O'Leary, enjoys a record of seven wins and two losses, They opened the season by losing to the Mount and then quickly defeated Manhattan Prep, and St. Ann's. They lost their next game to LaSalle but are now in the midst of a winning streak, having beaten Fordham Prep, Power All Hallows, Stepinac and Xavier successively. The team lines up with Wellborn behind the plate, McPhee at first base, Hansen at second, DiNome at shortstop and Stephans at third. The outfield has O'Leary in left field, Zucconi in center and Muro in right field.
